Seven Months

We were looking at some old pictures and came across this one of Madeline. At this point, she's exactly as old as Juliette is now. She definitely beats Juliette in the hair department (she had about as much at birth as Juliette does now) but Juliette has a deeper, darker tan. So it's a push.

Runny Noses

All of the females here are under the weather. Here we have a rare shot of Madeline not coughing. Below, Juliette, who is on her second month of drooling/runny nose due to either being sick or teething. Only Ramzy has yet to catch the bug, but he's already complaining about how miserable he is going to feel once he gets it.

Champps!

We watched football games at Champps today. Decent, but Madeline said BW3 is better. Must be the smiley-face potatoes.

Speaking of "champs", it was Juliette who won the costume contest at yesterday's Halloween bash. She was exhausted from all of the drama at Champps today, as evidenced by this photo. It is hard being a contest winner at seven months. Look for more chili pepper/contest winner pictures as Halloween draws closer. 

The Many Faces of Cinderella

Today was the Four Bridges kids' Halloween party, and both kids made a very well-received appearance. There were "creepy chicken fingers, haunted hot dogs and ghoulish french fries" as well as s'mores and cupcakes. The bar was also open and college football was being televised in what Ramzy described as "an unexpected but welcome development."

...or maybe not. You can't blame the cheering section.

"Fallowe'en" sounded good in theory - rides, crafts, storytelling, food, etc. There is no delicate way to describe how it was in reality: it sucked.

As a result, we spent time on the playground rather than wait in lines and watch kids eat mulch (seriously, we saw kids eating mulch and the mother warned them they'd still have to go to school if they got sick). Seventy-five mile round trip to do something we have in our neighborhood.
