Let There Be Light

Three days without power, all because a) apparently hurricanes make it to Ohio now, b) Cincinnati still operates on a 19th century power grid cobbled together by a guy named Jebediah and c) the power company sent all of their contractors to Texas where hurricanes are actually supposed to go because d) meteorologists have absolutely no idea what the weather is going to do, ever. At least Texas got a warning. Sunday the weather report in Cincinnati was, "it should be okay during the Bengals game with a chance for light rain." They missed the little part about 70mph winds for six straight hours.

So we have power, and now there are pictures, if you click here that you'll notice have been added to a previous album. We've got a Reds/Cubs game, a pinata, some ballet class, some puppet show and general kid silliness, a virtue as steeped in tradition as Cincinnati and the 19th century.

Among the pictures, from said Reds game:

Amelie spits up on camera and nobody notices, not even creepy Mrs. Red. Tremendous.
